Eat, drink, party and watch the Oscars in style
By RITA DEMONTIS | Toronto Sun
Looking for a little glamour on Oscar night? Well dress up like the stars and head out to Toronto's Eden Trattoria and Wine Bar in the west end where an award-winning menu at an affordable price is waiting for you, along with paparazzi. The Marine Parade Drive eatery overlooking the lake and beautiful city lights of Toronto will be hosting movie buffs and fashionistas alike with a menu that includes pink bubbly, raw oysters, lobster bisque, Chilean sea bass and beef tenderloin with jumbo prawns -- a menu fit for Oscar himself. And only $35 per person (excluding tax and tip.) And you can watch the 81st Academy Awards show on the big screen. Guests will be encouraged to pose for the flashing cameras, and will have a chance to vote for their favorite actor/actress, favourite supporting actor/actress and best movie.
Eden servers will be dressed as past Oscar attendees and diners will have the chance to guess who they are supposed to be. Winners will be awarded prizes ranging from $100 gift certificates for Eden's sister restaurant "Upper Eden", to spa treatments, and miniature Oscar chocolates. All taking place this Feb. 22! This charming trattoria which opened two years ago is noted for offering delicious food at inexpensive prices and welcomes its guests into a cool and casual atmosphere which keeps them coming back.
